General Dynamics' high-speed encryptor now NSA certified

Providing end-to-end 10 gigbit/sec throughput speed, General Dynamics Mission Systems' TACLANE-10G secures information classified Top Secret and below over government and commercial networks.
General Dynamics Mission Systems' new TACLANE-10G (KG-175X) in-line network encryptor has been certified by the National Security Agency to secure information at the Top Secret level and below. The NSA certification authorizes federal agencies to order the new 10G encryptor, the company said in its announcement.
The TACLANE-10G encryptor offers simultaneous IP and Ethernet capabilities. Providing end-to-end 10 gigbit/sec throughput speed, it can secure information over both government and commercial networks. The device also is capable of accepting additional software to improve the network efficiency and sensing capabilities.
Designed for encrypting streaming high-definition video, high-end enterprise database distribution and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) data sharing, the TACLANE-10G can be used to protect cloud infrastructures and secure large image, data and video files.
The TACLANE-10G can encrypt the equivalent of a high-definition feature film in moments, General Dynamics said. The encryptor also provides the ability to send and receive multiple data files simultaneously without operator intervention, reducing the number of encryptors needed to perform similar functions.

"The NSA certification recognizes and validates the TACLANE-10G's ability to secure data through government networks worldwide."
A TACLANE-10G trade-in program is available through Dec. 31, 2015, allowing users of the current HAIPE in-line encryptor to take advantage of the new bandwidth efficiency and cyber security features provided by the 10G.
