NASA's Ames Research Center awarded nearly $500 million in technology contracts over the past several weeks.
In February, the Moffett Field, Calif., center handed a $128.3 million contract to QSS Group Inc. of Lanham, Md., said John Bluck, a NASA spokesman. Raytheon Co. and Computer Sciences Corp. will split two other contracts worth up to $150 million, he said.
CSC also teamed with Advanced Management Technology Inc. of Arlington Va., to win a $200 million, five-year contract.
CSC also will work as a subcontractor to QSS, said CSC officials, who estimated their company's portion of the contract at $26 million.
QSS will support Ames' Computational Sciences Division, Bluck said. The contract calls for QSS to support scientific research, develop technologies and build applications in advanced information systems. CSC will work in automated learning, knowledge management, artificial intelligence and model-based reasoning.
