Anne Reed, a former Agriculture Department CIO, is joining Acquisition Solutions Inc., a research and consulting company that specializes in advising federal agencies on acquisition issues.Reed spent 20 years working for the government starting as a Presidential Management Intern and rising to become the Agriculture Department's chief information officer. She then joined Electronic Data Systems Corp.'s state and local government group aspresident.Reed has received numerous honors during her career. She was the Government Computer News Government Executive of the Year in 1998.In 2001, Harvard University's John F. Kennedy School of Government recognized her with its Alumni Achievement Award, and Virginia Gov. Mark Warner named her to the state's Chief Information Advisory Board in 2002.Acquisition Solutions "has been on the forefront in assisting government in transforming procurement practices to assure that government gets the best value, a commitment that I share," Reed said."Anne brings outstanding leadership and management skills to the helm as we continue our corporate journey. ...
