Agriculture Department's Forest Service
Recreation One-Stop, a $128 million contract to combine two park services reservation systems
Status: The Government Accountability Office upheld a protest by Spherix Inc. of Beltsville, Md., telling the Forest Service to reopen the competition. The agency has until February to decide.
Air Force
Network Centric Solutions program, a $10 billion deal for networking equipment and services
Status: Sumaria Systems Inc. of Fairborn, Ohio, protested the award of a contract to NCI Information Systems Inc. of Reston, Va., to the Small Business Administration. SBA denied the protest, letting NCI join seven other vendors on the contract.
Air Force
Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Intelligence, Information Technology, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Engineering and Technical Support Contract, an $800 million procurement for design, engineering and testing services for communications equipment
Status: After a losing vendor protested SI International's self certification that it was a small business to the Small Business Administration. SBA ruled in SI's favor, and it started work on the contract in April.
Education Department
Loan Processing Services, a $600 million contract for application, payment collection, accounting and reconciliation of government-sponsored student loans
Status: GAO denied the protest from SLM Corp., known as Sallie Mae, of Reston, Va., letting Affiliated Computer Services of Dallas perform the contract.
General Services Administration
E-Travel, a $450 million deal to standardize on three governmentwide travel systems.
Status: GSA reopened the competition after EDS Corp. protested the award to two other vendors and added EDS to the deal.
Housing and Urban Development Department
HUD IT Services, a $750 million contract for agencywide IT systems support
Status: The GAO sustained two protests by Lockheed Martin Corp. on the awards to EDS. E2 HUD is reviewing the rulings.
Justice Department
Justice Unified Telecommunications Network, a contract to provide a voice, video and data network to all employees and replace seven networks
Status: Sprint Corp. protested Justice's decision to award the contract to AT&T. Justice maintained the award to AT&T and added Qwest Communications International Inc. of Denver as a second contractor.
Navy
Intelligence and IT Management 2, a $195 million deal for a variety of IT services
Status: GAO denied a protest by BAE Systems PLC, maintaining the contract award to Titan Corp. of San Diego.
Office of Personnel Management
Recruitment One-Stop, a $62 million deal to update the central federal government jobs Web site
Status: GAO upheld a protest by Symplicity Corp. of Arlington, Va. OPM, after a congressional threat to withhold funding for the site, is reviewing new bids to manage the site.
Treasury Department
Treasury Communications Enterprise, a $1 billion contract to set up and manage a WAN for voice, data and video services
Status: Three companies protested Treasury's award to AT&T to GAO. A decision is expected by March 21.
