in the House: Has the pace slackened?
Before taking control of the full House
Government Reform Committee reins in January 2003, Chairman Tom Davis (R-Va.)
was the chairman the Government Reform Subcommittee on Technology and
Procurement Policy. Between 2001 and 2002, he held 21 hearings on IT and related
matters.
In 2003 and 2004, IT oversight remained
at the subcommittee level, with Rep. Adam Putnam (R-Fla.) chairing the
Government Reform Subcommittee on Technology, Information Policy,
Intergovernmental Relations and the Census. He held 22 hearings related to IT
during those years.
Last year, David moved IT oversight to
the full committee, and held eight hearings on IT and related matters. He's
