Mitsubishi announces its new high-resolution HL2750U LCD projector, designed for high-pixel applications, such as CAD/CAM, geographical and tactical mapping, and virtual simulation.

Mitsubishi announced today its new high-resolution HL2750U LCD projector, designed for high-pixel applications such as computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing, geographical and tactical mapping, and virtual simulation.

The projector offers 1400 x 1050 resolution and weighs 10.8 pounds. It projects light at a measurement of 3100 ANSI lumens, suitable for high-ambient light settings such as classrooms or meeting rooms with windows.

The HL2750U also offers an estimated lamp life of 5,000 hours in low mode. The lamp can be loaded from the side for easier replacement. The projector also has RJ45 connectivity, so administrators can control as many as 200 projectors via a local-area network.

“Even the smallest details appear crisp and clear so viewers get a better understanding of what they see,” said Wayne Kozuki, product manager of Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Presentation Product Division.

The company also is marketing the MH2850U, a version of the same projector for the medical education and training market, Mitsubishi said. It uses Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine technology, the company said.

The HL2750U sells for $3995, and the MH2850U for $7,995.
