Agencies can combine, categorize and broadcast their enterprise architectural data via the Web with Popkin Software Inc.'s System Architect/Information Publisher. Representatives of the New York software vendor said SA/Information Publisher personalizes Web-based reports about architectural data for use by different audiences while meeting federal regulatory requirements.

The publisher software uses Extensible Markup Language to circulate reports but can convert the XML files for HTML display via Extensible Style Language Transformation style sheets.

Jan Popkin, co-founder and CIO of Popkin Software, said technologies such as XML will smooth interagency communication and interoperability.

SA/Information Publisher imports data from System Architect's central repository. It complies with Federal Enterprise Architecture reference models and the Exhibit 300 format of the Office of Management and Budget. It works with most Microsoft Corp. applications, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Virtual Basic.

Popkin initially offers SA/Information Publisher to agencies through its consulting practice. The software will be available as an add-on to Popkin System Architect 9.1 in August. Product pricing has not been announced.
