Announcing the dig IT Award finalists
Connecting state and local government leaders
From mobile security to smarter transit to swarming drones, these 25 projects represent the best of discovery and innovation in government IT.
GCN's dig IT Awards celebrate discovery and innovation in government IT -- the cutting-edge technology and creative implementations that are supporting critical missions in the public sector. Today we are pleased to announce our 2017 finalists, chosen from nearly 200 nominees across all levels of government.
There are five categories -- Cybersecurity; Cloud and Infrastructure; Data, Analytics and Visualization; Mobile; and Robotics, Automation and Unmanned Systems -- each with five finalists. All 25 projects below will be profiled in GCN and on GCN.com, and honored in person at the GCN dig IT Awards Gala on Oct. 19 at the Hilton in Tysons Corner, Va. The overall winner in each category, as selected by our judging panel of top government IT innovators, will be announced at the awards gala.
So look for more about each of these projects in the coming weeks -- and today, please join us in congratulating all the 2017 dig IT Award finalists:
