This month in Colorado, we’re excited to kick off our forthcoming Route FIfty Roadshow series where we’ll explore “The DNA of a Responsive, Data-Driven Government,” with a panel of experts and public officials, including Colorado Lt. Using data to analyze performance and make decisions in government is not new or novel. What has changed, however, are the tools to make it happen and the expectations of citizens.
On April 18, join us at the Denver Art Museum as Route Fifty explores this changing dynamic. State and local government leaders are using new technology and techniques to improve efficiency, to show quantitative and qualitative results to citizens and make it easier to access state and local services.
Lynne, who wears a second hat as the state’s chief operating officer, has brought a unique blend of public and private-sector experience to driving a performance-based agenda across Colorado state government. The lieutenant governor will provide an overview of how the state is pushing state agencies to coordinate operations, improve services for citizens and deliver results in a clear and effective manner.
As mayor of the City and County of Denver, Hancock has proven over his tenure that local government does not need to choose between saving money and better assisting citizens—it can do both. Hancock will discuss how data and results-oriented management can be utilized across local government decision-making, as well as help communicate with citizens.
We will also be joined by individuals at the forefront of rethinking what success looks like for government, and what citizens should expect from their government—from chief performance officers to non-profit leaders who are helping facilitate change in state and local government.
